We will post pictures of your children's activities to help you get a little window into what is happening in fourth grade.

Music
Music class has been really different this year. Mrs. Rito and Ms. Finlayson come to our classroom to follow Covid protocols while providing enriching music instruction for your children. Here they are doing some work with rhythms. Singing is not allowed yet.
Vocab pics
These pictures are from a vocabulary activity. The kids were ordering their cards from “mildly mad” to “extremely mad”. While this was fun, what I have been most impressed with is your children using these vocabulary words daily. When I was repeating directions this week, we would talk about whether I was merely miffed or vexed, or if I was outraged, etc… They seem to REALLY like the word seething!

Gratitude Parade
Wow! Yesterday was so much fun. Did you see us on the Channel 5 News? I saw Ben on there and I am pretty sure I saw Eryn's sign. It was great to see so many faces of so many kids. We really miss you guys.
This is everyone getting ready.
I was following Mrs. Simpson's car. Mmmm... I wonder what happened to her bumper.
Here's Eryn and her mom. I am pretty sure Eryn's sign made it on the news!
This is my car--the signs are still on it. I don't drive much these days, but if you are walking down Gilbert Street before it rains again, you might see these signs.
We were divided into three groups to go around town, so I didn't get to see all of our kids who were out. Keegan dropped this by our house after the parade. I took a picture and shared it with the other teachers! You made our day Keegan!
Keegan's mom just sent this to me--the poster looks even better with this handsome guy!!

A Message from Your Teachers
Friday, April 3, 2020
I MISS YOU!
Friends, it's been so long since we've been together. That darned broken ankle in January and now the Coronovirus. I miss you guys and was really looking forward to getting back to school with you. We'll have to do our best with distance learning. I had a meeting with Ms. Rouelle yesterday and she says that starting April 13th we'll be able to get together for morning meetings with Zoom. If you haven't used Zoom before, we'll be sending directions. It will be great to be able to get see each other.
I hope you are all following all the directions to stay safe. I know it's tempting to want to run down the street to play with a friend. Until we can get together, please ask your parents to send me pictures of you and what you're doing. Maybe you working, maybe you playing or doing art. Maybe you taking a nap during your normal math time! Whatever might cheer us up. It will be nice to see each other. OR you might be able to take your own picture with your Chromebook and send it to me. Here are a few pictures that parents have sent me so far:
Here is Eryn hard at work. Notice she is SMILING everyone!!
