Our Trip to Bread and Butter Farm

Dear Families,
Sami's family hosted us again at Bread and Butter Farm today.  I am happy to report that we had a much more beautiful day today than we had in the fall.  However, all that sunshine and walking around has me tired out, and your children were tired by the end of the day too.  We started our visit with a couple of songs from Mr. Chris, then started off on our adventures.

We saw the pigs (two of whom we saw in the fall as babies).  Let's just say that they have grown a BIT more than your children did this year--and they're pregnant and due to have babies soon.  We saw the dairy and beef cows--many of whom are also expecting soon.  We also visited the chickens and had to help corral an escaped chicken and send it back to be with the other chickens.

We had lunch at the farm and played a couple of games.  Bread and Butter Farm is so beautiful and we are so lucky to have Sami's family host us for two field trips at no cost.  Thanks Farmer Corie, Farmer Henry, Farmer Bekah and Mr. Chris!
